This year, we are celebrating Water Communion in two parts:
Rain or Shine!
Part 1: Outdoors – Sunday August 29 (between 1 and 3 pm). Bring a small amount of water from (or representing) a place of meaning in your life to the church parking lot. As you add your water to the communal bowl, you’ll be invited to share a word that expresses the meaning that this water carries for you, and (if you permit) your picture will be taken for the online worship service. You will also receive something to take away with you.
- Please wear a mask.
- There will be a drive-by option for anyone who prefers to stay in their car; and if you would prefer to bring your water before others arrive, contact Chris McCann at dmre@pbuuc.org to arrange a time.
- If you cannot be there, you can email your own photo with your water (and your word) to Chris McCann at dmre@pbuuc.org by August 31.
Part 2: Online – Sunday September 12 (10am). During the worship service.
Please join in this Unitarian Universalist ritual of shared community, in whatever way makes sense for you.
