Serving Together
Running our church and ensuring that it gets the best of care is vitally important to the members of PBUUC. Working to maintain and care for our church ensures that members and visitors can enjoy being part of our church community.
Serving together allows those who participate to enjoy fellowship together and serve the church community at the same time.
Among the things members cherish most are the deep and meaningful friendships formed by working together. Opportunities to work with other members abound. Come take part in the vital work of maintaining our church community.
Here are lots of ways to be involved and to be a volunteer within the Paint Branch community.
- Membership – Helping people to enter into the life and membership of the church
- Pastoral Care – Providing a listening ear and compassionate support for people facing a challenge or crisis
- Auction at Paint Branch – Annual fundraising auction of goods and events
- Denominational Affairs – Maintaining connections with our Unitarian Universalist Association
- Committee on Ministry – Supporting our Minister, and remaining tuned in to the congregation
- Worship Tech Team – Keeping the sound on and streaming it out for those unable to join in person
- Worship Associates and Liturgists – Assisting on planning and leading services
- Diversity/Anti-Racism Transformation Team (DARTT) – Focus on eradicating racism within UU congregations
- Racial Climate Coalition (RCC) – Collaborate on creating a healthy racial climate at PBUUC
During this year we are also working on “How are we with each other, here in this congregation” with the Mission Discernment Process.
