Choir
About 35 Choir members sing challenging music under the direction of David Chapman. The choir music selection is coordinated with the minister to complement each Sunday sermon topic; and any performance may include classical, contemporary, pop or global culture choices. Our full size grand piano, played by David, provides a strong pairing for what we consider pretty exceptional music. The choir usually sings at two services per month.
David regularly calls on Choir members to sing solo and duet sections of the music. He also encourages instrumental performances from our congregation’s musicians.

The Choir usually offers an item at our annual Auction in late Fall. The highest bidder gets to choose a choral work that the Choir will perform at a future Sunday service. And each year the Choir performs at several dedicated events:
- Holiday music service in early December
- Christmas Eve late service
- Spring-time music-only service in June.
David rehearses with the Choir for two hours every Thursday evening throughout the church year. Anyone who likes to sing is invited to contact David at musicdirector@pbuuc.org about joining the Choir. Tenors and basses are especially welcome.
