Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church is currently in search of a developmental minister to begin summer 2024.

Developmental ministry is a program for congregations that know they have specific longer-term transitional work to do before being ready for a settled minister. Usually a developmental ministry lasts 4-7 years, 4-5 being optimal. Congregations with longtime struggles over a historic and beloved building, or where their community has changed, is facing a decline in membership and funding, when the congregation may need to reinvent itself and its purpose—these are good candidates for developmental ministry. PBUUC has been in developmental ministry since 2020 and wishes to continue this work when the current minister’s contract expires in 2024.

The Board of Trustees has formed a Ministerial Search Committee (MSC) consisting of six PBUUC Members. The Board collected written applications and selected Committee members from the pool of applicants. The search began in December 2023. Search Committee members are Abby Crowley (Board Liaison), Eric Eldritch, Kathy Yu, Carol Carter Walker, Sabrina Jones and Don Gerson.
