Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church

The Reverend Rachel Rudd Christensen

Welcome Our New Settled Minister

Reverend Rachel ChristensenThe congregation called Rev. Christensen to serve as our next Settled Minister at our Annual Congregational Meeting in June 2017. She will begin her ministry at Paint Branch in mid-August.

I am delighted to be coming to Paint Branch to serve as your Minister. I look forward to getting to know each of you and I learn my way around the congregation. I am excited about the work the church is already doing, and plan to be a part of it.

My husband Eric and I are pleased to be moving to the "center of the world" of Maryland and DC. We are relocating from Orlando, Florida, a different kind of "center of the World", with Disney and Universal dominating the area. I am currently serving as a Chaplain Resident at Florida Hospital in East Orlando, providing chaplaincy to patients and staff. I have also served as Intern Minister at First Unitarian Church of Orlando and previously at Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater.

Eric is a horologist - currently working for our son in his shop in Orlando. In Orlando, we plant tomatoes in September - will that work in Maryland? We will have to figure all that out, once we get settled. I can't wait.
