Necessary Trouble is a memoir written by Drew Gilpin Faust, historian, civil rights activist and the first woman president of Harvard. The book is about her growing up in Virginia and coming of age during a period of rapid social transformation. Margaret Morrison will facilitate the discussion. Please read chapters two through seven.
