PBUUC has had a Social Action Committee (SAC) for most of its congregational history. SAC leads, coordinates, and encourages the efforts of the Paint Branch community to bring about a more just society and meet the needs of disadvantaged people locally, nationally, and globally.

The Social Action Committee also coordinates the monthly Special Collection, taken during the regular offertory at a Sunday service, to provide financial support to local, national, and international non-profit organizations suggested by members of the congregation.
