In the early 1960’s, Paint Branch began the tradition of meeting at a designated restaurant at 1 pm on the third Wednesday of each month. Originally called TWedHUUlk, which loosely meant “Third Wednesday Hearty Unitarian Universalist Lunch Klub,” it began as a time for day time volunteers to gather for fun and food after preparing the monthly newsletter for mailing to the congregation. These days, we instead receive weekly emailed newsletters called “The ContinUUm” but because it is still fun to gather to break bread together, the tradition continues. In appropriate weather, outside eating may be enjoyed. A restaurant is chosen each month with suggestions welcome from the attendees. Notices about the location and its menu are announced in the ContinUUm. All are welcome.
