The current status of PBUUC is RED

covid 19

Status RED indicates that most onsite operations of Paint Branch UU Church are suspended. Most activities remain online, but some in-person options are available with mitigation. For details, see our matrix.

If you are hosting a PBUUC event (i.e. an auction dinner) please see our guidelines.

The Board of Trustees has delegated the responsibility and authority to make and communicate decisions about congregational gathering to the COVID Task Force.

The members of the COVID Task Force are John Barr, Kathi Yu, Margaret McLellan, Chris McCann (Director of Faith Engagement) and Reverend Ann Kadlecek.

We use guidance from the Unitarian Universalist Association, the CDC and other relevant organizations. To guide our daily decisions, the task force has created a COVID activity matrix. The task force is continuing to meet regularly, and will update the status and revise this matrix as conditions warrant.

Our work is guided by the eight principles of Unitarian Universalism. As such, our guidelines are intentionally more conservative than other area organizations may be. We take very seriously our commitment to community care, particularly the care of the most vulnerable. We also consider the impact of our actions on the wider community.

Should you have questions, please contact a member of the task force.
