The Music Ministry Director Search Committee is advertising for a Music Ministry Director. We have advertised the position on the national, regional, and area Unitarian Universalist (UU) websites. We have also listed the position with the Association of UU Music Ministries; MUUsica, a local group of UU musicians, and the DC/MD/VA Chapter of American Choral Directors Association.

We are also publicizing the vacancy at the Music Departments of local colleges and universities. The closing date is currently November 15. The Committee is expecting the successful candidate to begin on or about February 1. Once the position is filled, the Music Ministry Director’s first task will be to recruit a permanent pianist.

The contracts of Amelia Brown Peele, Interim Music Leader, and Francesco Berrett, Interim Pianist, have been extended through the end of January. Both are eligible to apply for the permanent positions.
