We Are Still Here! Through Piscataway Eyes

we covenant to affirm and promote justice, equity and compassion in human relations

with Worship Associate Carol Carter Walker
This morning’s service will be led by Ariane Swann Odom, a member of the Piscataway Conoy Tribe, based primarily in Southern Maryland. As we prepare to recognize Indigenous People’s Day in Prince George’s County, Maryland on October 10, and National Native American Heritage Month in November, we are fortunate to have a speaker who will share her lived experience. We will take up a Special Collection for the non-profit Through Piscataway Eyes Education Fund, established to support higher education for tribal members at Maryland colleges and universities. A special welcome to members of Davies Unitarian Universalist Congregation, our sister congregation in Prince George’s County, who are visiting with us today.
