Please join us on Monday April 15th as the Reel and Meal at the New Deal Cafe presents “Angel of Gaza” and three other short films dealing with refugees. All deal with Muslims. All start with the British Empire in 1947. That year Britain left their colonial territories of India, Burma, and Palestine.

After years of strife in all three places, the Rohingya Muslim minority in Burma (now Myanmar), the majority Muslim population in Kashmir between India and Pakistan, and in the Gaza strip, the Palestinians, all face intensified and intolerable situations., Millions have died and millions more have been displaced by land grabs and seemingly endless wars and oppression. “Angel of Gaza” presents a bright spot in the worst of these places.
